Accommodations

3 spacious en-suite guest cabins, as well as separate en-suite crew quarters. Full reverse cycle air conditioning throughout the yacht. The port forward en-suite guest cabin has under/over single berths, whilst the guests may choose which cabins best suit their needs and the 4th can be occupied by the captain. our heads feature fresh water electric toilets, basins, showers and vanity cabinets. There is plentiful storage space throughout Ad Astra, with under berth lockers, hanging closets and more. The three queen size cabins also have TV's and 2 USB charging ports in each. Two sets of linens for each cabin are included along with 12 bath towels 12 hand towels and 12 fast drying Turkish beach towels. Dimmable led lighting throughout the yacht 115V (USA) outlets in all cabins, galley, salon and cockpit.

Captain Rachel Staddon's roots trace back to a dairy farm near the mesmerizing shores of Plymouth, just a stone's throw away from the vast expanse of the ocean. Growing up in such proximity to the sea, she developed an early fascination with maritime life. It was during her childhood that her father's workshop became her playground, and watching him deftly repair various mechanical contraptions ignited her curiosity for all things mechanical. This fascination for tinkering and problem-solving eventually led her to the engine room of boats. Her talent and passion for mechanics became evident as she started delving into the intricate machinery that powered these vessels.

Over the years, she honed her skills to the point where she can now mend most issues that arise in the heart of a ship. Captain Rachel Staddon embarked on her yachting journey, beginning as a stewardess. However, she quickly realized that her true calling was navigating the open waters. Over the years, she worked tirelessly, earning her stripes as an accomplished and charter-savvy captain. Her extensive experience has made her an expert in providing guests with unforgettable yachting experiences.

Captain Staddon is renowned for her 'can-do' attitude, unwaveringly friendly demeanour, and positively infectious spirit that lights up any room or deck. Her sense of adventure is not just limited to the high seas; it's deeply ingrained in her personality. Her crew often praises her for her ability to keep morale high and make even the most challenging situations seem like thrilling adventures.

Her dedication to her craft and her unwavering zest for life make her a captain who not only leads but inspires her crew and guests alike. When she's not commanding a yacht, this adventurous soul can be found indulging in her various passions.

Yoga helps her maintain balance and peace in her demanding profession, while longboarding provides an exhilarating sense of freedom. She also dedicates time to her fitness regimen, which keeps her in top physical shape for her high-energy profession.

Sophie Brown | Deck/Stewardess

Sophie Brown, born in the heart of England, is a passionate Deck/Stewardess who has embarked on a journey of adventure and hospitality. Hailing from Plymouth, nestled amidst rolling countryside and pristine beaches, Sophie's upbringing was marked by the values of family and exploration. She is the proud sibling of six.

Sophie's early years were filled with an active pursuit of sports, particularly netball and swimming. This early exposure to physical activities instilled in her a sense of discipline and teamwork, traits that would prove invaluable in her later endeavours.

Sophie's voyage into the world of yachting commenced a mere 2 years ago. Captain Rachel, her aunt, persuaded her to embrace the yachting lifestyle, promising a breathtaking odyssey to explore the world. This decision marked a pivotal turning point in Sophie's career.

Before her immersion into the world of yachting, Sophie honed her skills in the hospitality industry, perfecting the art of catering to diverse needs and creating unforgettable experiences for guests. Her transition into the yachting realm was seamless, a testament to her dedication to providing exceptional service.

As a Deck/Stewardess onboard 7 KNOTS, Sophie has a multitude of responsibilities but her top priority is to establish a serene and inviting atmosphere onboard and foster a harmonious crew dynamic. Sophie believes that a happy crew translates into a seamless guest experience. Her goal is to provide guests with a combination of comfort, convenience, and charm during their time onboard 7 KNOTS.

In her spare time, Sophie prefers to unwind and delve into the captivating world of books. She believes that reading is a gateway to new horizons and an invaluable source of knowledge.

Aaron Everly | Chef

Aaron Everly, a culinary virtuoso with a flair for crafting gastronomic masterpieces, takes the position of Chef aboard 7 KNOTS. Armed with a formidable array of certifications and a passion for culinary artistry, Aaron elevates every charter to a symphony of flavours and dining experiences.

Aaron's journey into the world of cuisine began with a stellar academic record, including a Catering Single Award in 2013 and a string of diplomas that attest to his commitment to culinary excellence. His Diploma in Professional Chefs and Food Service at Levels one and two, both awarded with distinctions in June 2014 and 2015, laid the foundation for his culinary skills. Subsequently, he achieved the coveted Professional Pastry Chef Level 3 with distinction in June 2016, further solidifying his reputation as a master in the galley.

Born and raised in a quaint coastal town in Cornwall, England, Aaron grew up surrounded by the beauty of the southwest coast. With three sisters, his upbringing was rich in friendship and shared family experiences. As a child, Aaron was a genuine sports enthusiast, excelling in a diverse range of activities, including football, rugby and cricket. His proclivity for outdoor adventures remained a defining feature of his youth until he discovered his culinary calling during a school cooking course.

At the tender age of 16, Aaron took his first step towards a culinary career. His journey started as a commis chef, setting the stage for a transformative career. Under the mentorship of renowned chef Anton Piotrowski, a former winner of MasterChef in the southwest of England, Over the course of a decade, Aaron honed his skills in the culinary world, gracing the kitchens of prestigious hotels and restaurants while learning from some of the industry's most celebrated chefs.

Beyond yachting, his heart belongs to Noosa, a charming town on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. It was here that he lived and worked as a chef, forging deep connections with the local culture, cuisine, and the bountiful ingredients that define the region.

Aaron's aspirations within the yachting realm are simple yet profound: to find happiness while exploring the diverse corners of the globe. Outside of yachting, his dreams extend to entrepreneurship, envisioning a culinary venture that may take the form of a restaurant or a cosy coastal café.

In his role as a yacht chef, Aaron strives to delight guests with his culinary creations. He prides himself on his versatility, demonstrating expertise in preparing a wide array of cuisines, from classic French and Italian to the vibrant flavours of Cantonese, Thai, Japanese, Middle Eastern, and British fare. Aaron's proficiency extends to accommodating a spectrum of dietary requirements, ensuring every guest enjoys a personalized and exceptional dining experience.
